Fourth Grade Happenings

It's hard to believe that the summer is over but we are all ready to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to learn! During this quarter there will be many exciting topics to learn about. We are looking forward to a great year.

Topics this quarter
Math:	Multiplication Division Students will be applying the basic facts of multiplication towards multi-digit multiplication of numbers. **Please practice the basic multiplication facts at home**
Reading:	Expository Text – predictions, making connections, writing a summary Strategies used after reading the text.
Writing:	Personal Narratives Imaginative Narratives Students are working on adding descriptive details Students continue to work on revising their own work
Science:	Ms. Robinson and Mrs. Cerullo will be working on Animal Habitats and Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Hunsberger will be working on Food Chemistry.
Social Studies:	We will be focusing on the 3 Regions of North Carolina . Students will study the history, the people, and the resources found in these regions.
