  • The children will be finishing up our third unit on our writing program Small Moments. The authors are currently learning how to use a writing partner in order to make their writing easier to read and full of detail. We will be having our third and final writing celebration later in the month.
  • Mrs. Bostick, our school counselor, will be in each classroom this month teaching the children about the rainbow of character traits. We will be revisiting all of the character traits and learning how to portray all of them.

During the spring months the weather can be unpredictable. Please make sure to send your children in safe and proper clothes and footwear for school.

If your child expresses concern about something you feel is important and needs more explanation, please call the school (518-0090), and someone will return your call. You may email your child's teacher at btate@wcpss.net , swearne@wcpss.net , sharmer@wcpss.net , dzotter@wcpss.net , we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Communication and cooperation between parents and teachers are essential to promote a great learning environment. Each Monday, a folder will come home with your child that contains work, projects, and other school-related information. Talk about your child's work with him/her. Sign the parent comment sheet and return it with the folder on Tuesday. Careful reading will help keep you informed about what your child is doing in Kindergarten each day!
